About the event

Drawing on the MONACO project in Munich and the Plus Ultra III project in Wageningen, MVRDV, Roy Pype of Proof of the Sum, and Peter van Assche of Pretty Plastic and bureau SLA discuss what it takes to actually incorporate circular materials into architecture and construction practice.
From three different perspectives, they discuss the collaboration between architectural practices, materials developers and clients, the design possibilities, and the technical and practical hurdles on the journey from the initial idea to the finished building.
Hosted by Bettina von Stamm, the discussion will focus on how the transition from circular principles to built reality can be successfully achieved – and what conditions need to be put in place to ensure that circular materials become a natural part of construction practice in future.
