Open Studio
Discover how repair, craftsmanship and artistic design breathe new life into worn textiles.
Saturday, 14 November 2026
13:00–18:00
Wrangelstraße 21 A, 10997 Berlin
About the event
Blindhed is opening its doors and offering a glimpse into the world of jeans repair, textile transformation and wearable art.
You’ll discover the craft techniques involved in both visible and invisible jeans repairs, as well as the transformation of second-hand textiles. Through repairs, hand-painted elements and alterations, damaged or discarded garments are transformed into new, one-of-a-kind pieces. In this way, existing textiles are preserved and continue to be worn.
The Open Studio gives you the chance to examine materials, try on garments and ask the team questions. You can bring along a garment of your own to get advice on the specific repair and design options available. The event is aimed at anyone interested in textiles, craftsmanship and circular design.
