About the event

In this workshop, participants will use weaving to create their very own „Sacred Space“ – a textile haven of tranquillity, security and connection. Using old items of clothing, which they cut into strips and turn into yarn, they create their own small mat. In the process, they learn techniques such as finger weaving and spiral braiding, whilst also using the meditative process to pause and reflect mindfully. Step by step, they use seemingly discarded resources to create a new space with deeply personal significance. No prior experience is required, as all the necessary materials are sourced directly from discarded clothing.
