Tegel Airport 1, 13405 Berlin

About the event

earthbound opens the factory gates and takes you on a tour of the production of circular building materials made from Berlin’s largest waste stream. The tour takes place at a special location: the former airport site in Berlin Tegel. As well as the production facilities, the tour includes a visit to the laboratory and the so-called "Climate Tower", an experimental structure made of clay bricks from the Berlin University of Applied Sciences, built using, amongst other things, earthbound’s clay bricks. You’ll see the building rubble up close, smell the mineral raw materials and gain an understanding of how healthy wall materials are produced. Experience the transformation of buildings first-hand and discover how new buildings are created from old ones.

Directions

Take the bus to the "Urban Tech Republic" stop. This is also the meeting point.
