About the event

On 13 November 2026, we’ll be kicking off the first LOOPTOPIA weekend at MOKKA*MILCH!
We bring together decision-makers and thought leaders from the worlds of politics, academia, business and civil society to pragmatically drive forward Berlin’s circular transformation at neighbourhood level.

Our key question: What barriers need to be removed so that circular practices in the neighbourhood become an absolute no-brainer for all Berliners?

What makes Looptopia special is that we aren’t waiting for the future; with Looptopia, we’re demonstrating what’s already possible today whilst simultaneously creating a positive vision for the city of tomorrow. The circular economy should not remain an abstract theoretical concept, but should be brought to life, made accessible and firmly embedded in urban life. We show how this transformation can be achieved and how a circular mindset can be easily put into practice in everyday life.

What to expect:

- Keynote speeches & panel discussion: A clear explanation of how circular infrastructure is evolving from a niche project to the norm in everyday life in Berlin.
- Looptopia workshops: Direct exchange of tools and solutions with genuine pioneers in three parallel sessions on the topics of repair, reusable products and circular construction.
- Free jeans repair station: Bring along your torn jeans! There is a free jeans repair station on site, funded and run as part of the EU project Solstice / REPAIR DEAL (funded by the EU).
- Network & expertise: Valuable know-how from partners such as Concular, Berlin TXL, FixFirst, GRÜNE LIGA Berlin, HNEE, Circular Berlin and many more.
- Networking & Club Night: Genuine networking over drinks, with wine tasting, an art exhibition and the finest house music from Berlin’s scene collectives at the Basement Club.
